I did the math: Half of it is over. Of life. At least statistically. Was that possibly already the better half? What's left now, besides menopause, poverty in old age, and Botox subscriptions? Marilyn Monroe was already dead at my age, Angela Merkel was at least environment minister, and I now feel too old for TikTok. But it's not over yet, I'm still up for it, and my lifeline is still in a gin and tonic. It's going to be a stand-up evening where we let our hair down together (just a little, of course, not like we used to. Nobody can do that anymore). It'll be like Taylor Swift, just without the songs. A very private clearance sale: everything must go! This evening is the starting signal for the second half, and woe betide if it's not the better half!
